Standard Chartered KL Marathon 2013

It feels like the 2012's StanChart KL Marathon has just passed us. Now the event is back for everyone!

Don't waste your time to grab your slot. We heard that some of us are eager to break the 21KM barrier and shoot for the Full Marathon target! Wow, it is so inviting! There are some categories will be open for registration on 15 February 2013. However, for the individual categories of 42km, 21km, 10km, 5km and Sponsored Entries, you can start register my dear.

Zombie Run Malaysia: 2 EFR teams were the first to register @ Hampshire

Event: Zombie Run Malaysia 2013

Venue: Canyon Paintball Park, Bandar Utama

Date: 2nd February 2013

Time: 5 difference waves [Check Here]

Nabil (EFR 13) and Fadhlul (EFR 3) reached Hampshire Business Suite, very early in the morning to catch the slots. Hampshire Business Suite is the 3rd registration location to be revealed by the organiser. It's perk enable the team to get token in their hands, even before the event begins, but only if that team survive the race. 

Since, our representatives arrived at location, earliest, and 2 EFR teams now registered!

Wave: 2 (10am - 11.30am)

Team 2: Hakuna Matata

Team members: EFR 4, EFR 7, EFR 12, EFR 13, EFR 25

Wave: 5 (4pm - 5.30pm)

Dr. Nabil (right), who just finished his locum at 8.30am, came straight at the registration location with Fadh.

MPIB Run 2013: Kick start our year 2013

Event: MPIB Run 2013

Date: 6 January 2013, Sunday

Time: 7am

Venue: Padang Merbok, KL

Distance: 12KM, 8KM & 5KM

Perhaps due to many EFRs joined Newton 2012 at the end of last year, not many of us ran this event. Fadh (EFR 3) & Harun (EFR 31) hit 12KM, Shuhid (EFR 7) & Hana (EFR 25) took down the 8KM challenge, and Ikhwan (EFR 1) had his 5KM only this time. 

Not much we could say here. As expected, it is an awesome event. Good organisers. So happening with lots of sponsors' tent which coloured the day. PB for Fadh, Harun, Shuhid & Kak Hana! I think it is a cool thing to start your 2013 running year with MPIB Run 2013.

Time: 4:30am (FM), 5:30am (HM), 7am (8KM)

Distances: 42KM, 21KM and 8KM Fun Run

Early bird entry fee: RM90 (FM) - RM75 (HM) - RM45 (8KM)

Normal entry fee: RM105 (FM) - RM85 (HM) - RM55 (8KM)

Before we move on to the very inviting year 2013, the admin would like to conclude about EYKL (especially EFR members) in Inter Audit Firm Games (IAFG) 2012. We have done a great job this year. Although we were unable to retain No. 1 spot (overall champion last year in 2011), but to be the 2nd best is still an awesome job bro! KPMG is only 1 point ahead of us. Aduihhh...sikit lagi bro. Anyway, Good Luck in 2013!

As part of our memories together-gether, the EFR admin team are in the midst of summarizing all our 2011 & 2012 records, PBs, achievements, etc., of us into a virtual book of fame, so to give some space to our blog. Newton Challenge 2012: Event Day..ending the wonderful 2012!

Event: Newton Challenge 2012

Date/Day: 30 December 2012, Sunday

Distances: 25km & 12km

Venue: Jalan BK5A/2, Bandar Kinrara, Puchong, Sel.

It is the end of 2012, we closed it off with the Newton Challenge. Keat-EFR 19 ran his first 25km that day, congratz to him as he did it in 2 hr 23 mins. While others finished their 12km. Ikhwan-EFR 1 (PB-63 mins), Harun-EFR 31 (PB-68 mins), Min-Yi-EFR 18 (PB-71 mins), are the top 3 leading the EFR race. 

EFR admin would like to say to all EFR amateurs, CONGRATULATION for what you have done in 2012! Stay healthy, stay fit and stay involve in community events as much as you can. See You in 2013!!!
