The Edge Bursa Malaysia KL Rat Race 2012: Event Day

Ernst & Young Kuala Lumpur (EYKL) has successfully participated in the charity run organised by The Edge & Bursa Malaysia, KL Rat Race 2012. The event held in front of the Bursa building. The atmosphere is awesome and damn happening!!! We juz can't show to the people who are not there, even if we put all the pictures we have in this post. The happening moment here most probably is due to the participants come in "the corporate team", therefore there are lots of corporate supporters (perhaps they are all allowed to leave the office early for the event), lots of pom pom team, lots of marching bands performing, and lots & lots of crazy things happened there. The sound of unstoppable vuvuzela look-a-like hons also make some noise.

EYKL today sends 2 teams for CEO category and another one is for mixed category.

The Anlene Run for Your Bones 15-minutes Treadmill Challenge @ Fitness First

Yesterday, EFR 1 took up the challenge at IOI Mall Puchong and won 2nd place, behind the 46 y.o. man. Running within 15 minutes, he was able to do 3.48km, 360 metres away from winning a trip voucher. 

EFR 1 said, "I think I could do better. Maybe roti sardin I ate at 5.30pm spoilt my rhythm. Also, I only increase my speed at the last 30 seconds, which I think I should do it earlier."

Anyway, KUDOS to Mohd Ikhwan (EFR 1)!

The Chronicles of Kinabalu Training: Bukit Gasing Fun Ride!

Four of EFRs are set for the Mount Kinabalu's peak trip this coming October, therefore we have some introductory fun time hiking activity last weekend. We chose to go to Bukit Gasing, and overrode the initial plan to Bukit Tabur, due to the absent of our experience hiker, EFR 16. 

For those who don't know, Bukit Gasing located very near to Raju P.J. (less than 1km). For those who do not know Raju P.J. ...err... very near to La Salle P.J. ...or...Jalan Gasing la. It's in P.J. anyway.

Generally, Bukit Gasing is a trail track. For those who love natural feel, and willing to "mud up" their pair of shoes for pleasure, this should be one of the option. Easy & near to go (if you're stay in KL), this is the favourite place for people who wants to experience the natural forest touch in the middle of the town. This forest also facing a rapid development, therefore we hope the environmentalist and all of us who love this wonderful world should act accordingly to protect this place.

There are multiple paths to choose here. This is our way in, we however chose to go out at the playground exit.

That morning is raining. We brought over the umbrella for emergency case. Haha.

Adidas KOTR 2012: Event Day Picture Gallery

Date: 9th of September 2012 (Sunday)

Categories: 16.8km (EFR 3), 10km (EFR 4, 7, 10, 11, 12, 23)

Best performer: EFR 4 (10km - 1h 10m)

We took some time to post about this event due to the tight, busy and rushing working schedule. The editor don't have much to say about this event. Just like in the previous year, Adidas KOTR 2012 has been a success this year. Reportedly, 10,000 runners all around Asean took their part in this awesome event. Held along the NPE highway, the scenery of 10k people running has truly inspired anyone involved.

Adidas KOTR is where this gang and this blog has begun. Still, this time we were unable to get many EFRs involved. It's 7 of us, it's the typical Andy, Shuhid, Fad, Zaf, Remy, Fith & Hazirah finished the race, with only one of them took part in 16.8km. The editor also unable to participate due to some reason can't be compromised. 

Generally, we can say that all the EFRs joined the race are content on that day. Anyway, it's just a leisure & fun run which work more as a warm up right after Raya festival. Please enjoy the pictures of the event day.
