The Chronicles of Kinabalu Training: Bukit Gasing Fun Ride!

Four of EFRs are set for the Mount Kinabalu's peak trip this coming October, therefore we have some introductory fun time hiking activity last weekend. We chose to go to Bukit Gasing, and overrode the initial plan to Bukit Tabur, due to the absent of our experience hiker, EFR 16. 

For those who don't know, Bukit Gasing located very near to Raju P.J. (less than 1km). For those who do not know Raju P.J. ...err... very near to La Salle P.J. ...or...Jalan Gasing la. It's in P.J. anyway.

Generally, Bukit Gasing is a trail track. For those who love natural feel, and willing to "mud up" their pair of shoes for pleasure, this should be one of the option. Easy & near to go (if you're stay in KL), this is the favourite place for people who wants to experience the natural forest touch in the middle of the town. This forest also facing a rapid development, therefore we hope the environmentalist and all of us who love this wonderful world should act accordingly to protect this place.

There are multiple paths to choose here. This is our way in, we however chose to go out at the playground exit.

That morning is raining. We brought over the umbrella for emergency case. Haha.

PJ Half Marathon 2012

This year we are celebrating 25th years of this event's anniversary. This year, it falls on the same day & time as Salomon X Trail where 2 of our EFRs has already reportedly registered.

The event is on 30 Sep 2012, Sunday morning, at Stadium Petaling Jaya.

You can join 3 categories - Half Marathon (21km), 7km & 3km Family Fun Run. Limited medals for 7km, no medal for Fun Run, so you better join the farthest distance. Last year, the t-shirt is nice!! :-)

PJ Dawn 2012: Event Day 2012

 7 EFRs having a nice run this morning...ooops, this dawn! Organised by Outbox, the 21km category runners are flagged-off at 3am, while 12km at 4. All 7 EFRs are in 12km category. Other than EFR 1, the other 6 runners came early, being at start/finish line on time. EFR 1 is the last person as he touched the start/finish line after it was already closed. However, he was the second EFR to finish.
