Adidas King of The Road 2013

The event was held last Sunday morning, 20 October 2013 at NPE highway which was start and finish in front of Sunway Pyramid. 

As Adidas KOTR always has been an event for EFRs to run 10K, this year, EFR 37 (Nazrin), EFR 36 (Ismail), EFR 1 (Ikhwan) and EFR 18 (Min-Yi) tried their 16.8KM categories for the first time. Congratz to all four of them, as they all clocked the nett time around 1h 30m to 1h 40m. Nazrin, the sub 1-hour 10K runner, being the fastest EFR in this category with 1h 32m.

Once again EFR 7 (Shuhid) repeated the history of running back-to-back event, ran 10KM KOTR, after her half marathon at BSN Putrajaya Night Marathon (BSNPNM) on the night before. Last year, she ran 21KM BSNPNM, and then, went off to Singapore to complete her 10KM there.

Adidas King of The Road is EYKLFunRunners' first running event back in 2011, so this time EFR 7 and EFR 9 took part as their 2^nd anniversary year run. EFR 9 managed to clocked new PB, as for EFR 7 she just take it as recovery run. Both of them get sub 2hr for 10km run. EFR 3 being the only EFR to run this 3 times, in 2011, 2012 and this year.

ADIDAS King Of The Road 2013: On 20 October 2013??

As we walk through the several websites related to Adidas, we found out this:

ADIDAS KOTR Malaysia will be held on 20th of October 2013??

The image above is on www.adidaskingoftheroad.com, but when you click on word "MALAYSIA", there is nothing come out. So we started to wonder, can we trust this date to book our time? 

So what we did next is to tesk check for the other country, which is, the nearest one, Phillipines. If you click on the word Phillipines, it will bring you to adidaskingoftheroad.com - Phillipines. Know what, the date is correct - 7 July 2013. There are other pictures on that website such as following:

Given the outcome of our test on ADIDAS KOTR Phillipines, we conclude that the date 20 October 2013 for Adidas KOTR Malaysia may be accurate. 

So what with that date??

It will be a day after BSN Putrajaya Night Marathon 2013 which scheduled on the night of 19 October...

It means some of our EFRs who plan to join Newton Challenge Singapore to get a cool 32KM Polo Finisher Tee won't be able to join ADIDAS KOTR Malaysia...

Same goes to other runners who joined Kinabalu Climbathon...

Haha..nothing to worry about actually. This post is not intended to ask the organiser to change date or sumthing. Just to ask our reader, have you made your decision which event to join? 

...because most probably this year's ADIDAS KOTR Malaysia will be held on 20 October 2013.

Best performer: EFR 4 (10km - 1h 10m)

We took some time to post about this event due to the tight, busy and rushing working schedule. The editor don't have much to say about this event. Just like in the previous year, Adidas KOTR 2012 has been a success this year. Reportedly, 10,000 runners all around Asean took their part in this awesome event. Held along the NPE highway, the scenery of 10k people running has truly inspired anyone involved.

Adidas KOTR is where this gang and this blog has begun. Still, this time we were unable to get many EFRs involved. It's 7 of us, it's the typical Andy, Shuhid, Fad, Zaf, Remy, Fith & Hazirah finished the race, with only one of them took part in 16.8km. The editor also unable to participate due to some reason can't be compromised. 

Generally, we can say that all the EFRs joined the race are content on that day. Anyway, it's just a leisure & fun run which work more as a warm up right after Raya festival. Please enjoy the pictures of the event day.

Thursday, 6th September 2012 (10am - 8pm)

Friday, 7th September 2012 (10am - 8pm)

Saturday, 8th September 2012 (10am - 8pm)

Venue: Main Concourse, Sunway Pyramid, Bandar Sunway, Petaling Jaya.

4 of EFRs are on their own respective trips to overseas - Taiwan, HK, etc. (perhaps holiday season now), thus unavailable for the race. 1 EFR has his wedding on the day. 1 more EFR is outstation in Melaka. Others are some miss the early closing date and some purposely did not register.
