Safari Zoo Run 2012, In Memory of Ah Meng: Event Day

We have latest update from Lion Land of Singapore!
In 5 February recently, EFR 7 & EFR 9 completed their 6km in Safari Zoo Run 2012. It's a unique and wonderful experience to run across the Singapore Zoo. Having a nice views of wild and interesting animals, they just can't resist to take a lot pictures in the zoo rather than run seriously. Therefore, it can be considered as a leisure run as well. As the 12km run started at 7:30am, 6km run flagged-off at 10:00a.m..

Besides plays as an annual running event, Safari Zoo Run 2012 is held In Memory of Ah Meng. Ah Meng  was a female Sumatran Orangutan and a tourism icon of Singapore. She was smuggled from Indonesia and kept illegally as a domestic pet before being recovered by a veterinarian in 1971. She was then eleven years old and was given a home at the Singapore Zoo. Ah Meng died on 8 February 2008 due to old age.

Here's the snapshots of the event that day for your views.
