This event is the FIRST ever trail challenge for all of us. Telling you about the day, the earliest to arrive is Zafir (EFR 12). Fad (EFR 3) and Nazeem (EFR 16) 'carpool' to the race venue, but still we are all came quite early.
We heard that 2,100 registered participants will crowd the Kompleks Sukan UPM that day. It's a lot of runners, given the nature of the race. It seems that more people (at least 2,100) in Malaysia are ready for the off-the-road running. This is a healthy scenario and shows that more trails in Malaysia should be preserved and not to be destroyed by development, right? Save Bukit Gasing, Bukit Kiara etc!
The event started quite late as compared to the schedule. Perhaps because of cheerleaders's performance which started a bit late. Actually, we don't know the exact reason. However, runners are all still happy for the day, and for the cheerleaders too. Haha.
After the race, EFR 12 spent only RM50 to buy a new Salomon T at 50% discount. What an investment rite? Very cheap for Salomon T? Good for him. Also, the Salomon trail shoes were sold at 50% discount. Who knows, maybe it is only once a year? So, you missed a lot guys if you are one who didn't buy any on that day.
